Czech development cooperation: Adherence to the principles of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the range the Czech Republic fulfills the international commitments stipulated by the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness. And, if it needed, to find factors which influence fulfilling of the declaration commitments. This is done by analysis of the documents and interviews. The analysis of the data related to the supplied development aid is the core of the thesis. The aid depends on these key principles: ownership, alignment, harmonization, managing for results and mutual accountability. Two projects of the Czech Development Agency between years 2013 and 2015 in Cambodia and the State of Palestine are analyzed in two case studies. The operationalization of the terms and following own methodical framework application to the output data led to a result, whether the international commitments are (not) complied with. The performed research implies that commitments are fulfilled rather insufficiently in the Cambodia case, whereas the commitments in State of Palestine case were fulfilled completely. A new innovative approach was crucial. The projects are directed by Palestinian partner. In Cambodia, the critical principle is the mutual accountability because of the lack of the capacities (mostly in funding) and unsatisfactory management. There is a...

Impact of the current economic crisis on development aid

The Bachelor Thesis is focused on the impact of current economic crisis on development aid. Both views -- the recipients' and the donors' -- are taken into consideration. The work is divided into three parts. The first chapter deals with the UN programme called Millenium Development Goals and looks into the impact of the crisis on its achieving. The second chapter describes the attitude of developed countries to the problem of development aid during crisis. The last chapter is devoted to two humanitarian organisations: People In Need and Doctors Without Borders; it presents their financial sources and a seriousness of the impact of crisis on their work.
Aid to developing countries and the role of commercial communications

The developing world presents many questions which are explored by different scientific disciplines and fields in an effort to find sustainable solutions to problems that are defined in the MDGs. Even the marketing and commercial communications brings many creative and effective solutions in order to help achieve these goals. The primary aim of this thesis is to identify the different types of development assistance provided by various subjects of our society, to characterize the market from the perspective of developing marketing strategies and to analyze the potential of selected tools of commercial communications in creating sustainable solutions to development problems. Communication for Development which is based on global partnership has the potential to accelerate the achievement of term and measurable development goals and presented work tries to demonstrate it through many examples.
Direction of Foreign Development Aid within the framework of organization People in Need and Caritas Czech Republic.

Foreign development co-operation of the Czech republic is a part of the polititics our republic. Bachelor work ? ?qDirection of Foreign Development Aid within the framework of organization People in Need and Caritas Czech republic?? desribe development co-operation as a reduction inequality and poodnese and co-operation of the Czech republic in the framework of our country and two selected organizations. In theoretical part was processed qualification literature. First of all was systém of Foreign development co-operation of Czech republic, thein purposes, principles and priority. And second of all are charakterised organizations People in Need and Caritas Czech republic. In practical part were defineded two hypothese. The first at one caseshifts in the long-term plans and short-term plans in receiving countries and the second a tone was determined to research about students foreknowledge of universities and mentioned organizations.
